News
Greetings Parents,
Thursday May 22nd and Friday May 23rd are the last two days of school and they are also ELBC days. Consequently, students will be at home those two days. Since students will not have their Chromebooks, assignments as indicated below will be provided for students. All assignments will be "hold harmless" so students will not be penalized if they do not submit them. This provides an opportunity for applicable students to improve their grades. Teachers will provide additional opportunities for success for students with grades below a 70 and also for students who want to improve their grades who are above a 70. For students who do not need to improve their grades, teachers will provide opportunities for optional enrichment. Examples of optional enrichment may include:
- ELA and other Content Areas - an optional writing assignment where students reflect on their learning in the class from this year and set subsequent goals for next year based upon that reflection.
- Math - An optional but relevant real-world word problem which requires application to students' lives.
- Science - An optional activity or quick-write where students reflect upon their learning related to the environment, biology, chemistry, or the applicable content area and apply it to their own lives.
- Social Studies - An optional activity reflecting on the learning in the applicable course. Activities or short-response submissions may relate to civic engagement or financial literacy.
Please note that students can complete and submit any applicable assignments in Canvas or via email depending on the assignment. They can submit by scanning with their phones or utilizing another device since Chromebooks have been collected. Thank you and have a great summer!
