Summer Credit Recovery

Greetings,

For those students who are interested in taking credit recovery through Edgenuity, the program will start June 2nd and end July 19th. By taking credit recovery, you are able to gain a previous credit failed that will go towards meeting the graduation requirements for the State of Georgia. Before signing up, please read below:

  • For those particular students that sign up for this particular Credit Recovery all work will be done using Edgenuity. 
  • Credit Recovery will start June 2nd and end July 19th
  • Students may only register for ONE course at a time. -Students must spend a minimum of 3 hours per week in Edgenuity.
  • Student and Parent Must Sign Memorandum of Understanding. (You will get that form from me)
  • Students CAN NOT take credit recovery for the following courses
    • BIOLOGY,
    • ALGEBRA I,
    • AMERICAN LITERATURE AND
    • US HISTORY,
  • You must retake these courses in the traditional classroom setting. 

Space for this Particular Credit recovery is limited to 15 Students Per Area. (English, Math, Social Studies, Science)

The failed course must already be on your transcript, it can not be a current class that you are taking.

This is a first come first serve.

Jonesboro High School Summer Bridge program is an in-person, three-day program designed to help rising 9th graders prepare for a successful first year of high school.  Students participate in fun and engaging workshop sessions with the goal of fostering a smooth transition to 9th grade. 

Over the course of the three days, students will: have the chance to get to know students from other feeder middle schools, meet teachers, become familiar with the building, participate in mini-workshops on organizational and study skills, get an introduction to the core subjects, learn about the expectations of high school, and much more. 

Jonesboro High School Summer Bridge program is an in-person, three-day program (July 15-17th) designed to help rising 9th graders prepare for a successful first year of high school.  Students participate in fun and engaging workshop sessions with the goal of fostering a smooth transition to 9th grade.

Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) is proud to inform parents/guardians and students that all students have access to Tutor.com at no cost! Students can log in to their Clayton County Rapid-Identity Portal account and click the Tutor.com link to connect to a subject matter expert tutor in a secure online classroom, for one-on-one help in math, science, history/social studies, English, and much more!

Tutor.com also offers help to students with study skills like taking notes, getting organized, and time management as well as homework questions and class assignments.

By taking credit recovery, you are able to gain a previous credit failed that will go towards meeting the graduation requirements for the State of Georgia. Before signing up, please read below:
