Jonesboro High School Political Science Leadership Magnet Program Purpose

The JHS Political Science Leadership Magnet Program encourages students to learn how to build strong relationships with leaders in government and understand how to begin developing relationships with state, national, and international leaders.  Students will increase their knowledge of government, civics, and ethics, empowering them to develop a more global perspective.

JHS Political Science Leadership Magnet Program Framework

In order to empower our JHS Political Science Leadership Magnet students, students engage in a Public Policy Program that is designed for them to develop the key skills necessary to serve as effective change agents: researching, writing, presenting, and advocating.

These skills are developed through a Public Policy Framework in which students develop their understanding during classroom instruction, take action through experiential projects, and ultimately develop a belief in themselves to become change agents.
